Follow those steps and the issue will be resolved.<\/p>\n<p>1. Login to the Linux server where NRPE is installed.<\/p>\n<p>2. Open the nrpe configuration file, \/usr\/local\/nagios\/etc\/nrpe.cfg<\/p>\n<p>3. Modify allowed_hosts attribute as shown below,<\/p>\n<p>allowed_hosts=127.0.0.1,&lt;nagios server ip&gt;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211;&gt; Nagios server IP needs to be provided here.<\/p>\n<p>The allowed_hosts is a comma-separated list of IP addresses which can execute NRPE commands.<\/p>\n<p>4. Edit the nrpe daemon file by as<\/p>\n<p>vi \/etc\/xinetd.d\/nrpe<\/p>\n<p>5. For only_from attribute, make sure that Nagios server IP is included there as shown below,<\/p>\n<p>only_from = 127.0.0.1 &lt;Nagios server ip&gt;\u00a0 &#8211;&gt; Nagios server IP needs to be provided here.<\/p>\n<p>Note:<\/p>\n<p>only_from is a space-delimited list.<\/p>\n<p>allowed_hosts has comma separated IPs.<\/p>\n<p>6. restart xinetd service as, service xinetd restart<\/p>\n<p>This will resolve the problem.<\/p>\n<p>Nagios <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/exchange.nagios.org\/directory\/Documentation\/Nagios-XI-Documentation\/NRPE-Troubleshooting-and-Common-Solutions\/details\">Link<\/a><\/span> for reference.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CHECK_NRPE: Error &#8211; Could Not Complete SSL Handshake error pops up in Nagios console after setting up NRPE agent in Linux server.
