Analytics Journey with Middleware Primer
I feel numbers makes up the entire story of every enterprise. They are very critical in terms of business, revenue and customer value. Along with numbers adds up Analytics, which is a very powerful word and should be implemented in every enterprise. With growing market, growing trends, we at Middleware Primer got few set of individuals who are striving hard to get business for us and our main focus shifts to Analytics this year.
we or more specifically, I was very much fascinated with the movie Moneyball (2011) where I started to understand the On base Percentage of players and I implemented it on Indian cricket team. I was really fascinated with numbers and even I went on to implement it on movie where I was calculating how much a move can make up in revenue based on the previous hits and other scenarios. I have brought a book in 2010, Analytics at Work and now I realize its importance.
One more recent Scenario: Few days back, in 2nd T20 between Ind vs Aus, as usual I was doing my predictive Analytics on how much percentage we could win. In span of 1 hour time I could the same or near kind of results splashed up on TV where a small Pop up window came up which showed Predicting who will win.
Technology Trends are changing and as is the way Customers are looking at Analytics for their value proposition. Analytics will definitely help Customers to analyze their data.
Though I regularly see Predictive Analytics on Retail Domain, i sense Predictive Analytics is there everywhere from long time. We just started to have this word attached to Analytics and it is there in every domain.
We have recently started working on R and also focusing on Apache Spark. Though we have done lot of PoCs but I am very much interested in the way R is being used. Got a book recently on Predictive Analytics with R and we are on the GO for implementation.
As part of our services, we are also starting to use Predictive Analytics. We were into installations, setting up of dashboards, focusing on Descriptive Analytics only till now. Though we were using Tableau, Google Analytics, Watson Analytics for reporting, with recent trends, its time to move forward and we are working on Predictive Analytics.
I recently went to a school and during my interaction with School director, I told him that I will provide a report which will predict how many student may move out of the school (with various reasons related to teachers and their study). If a school can start its marketing during the month of march, why cant they implement Analytics to understand their growth?
Mail us @ info@middlewareprimer.com to understand more on our Analytics services and implementation. Its time to implement Analytical DELTA.
