Datapower admin user password lost
Datapower admin user password lost or not able to login is one of the scenario a customer faced recently at work. I was not able to login to Datapower console and was also not able to hit any commands through the appliance Command line interface as it was saying that the password is not correct. Datapower version was v7.0
I was debugging the issue with customer and was asking why it is lost, or to be precise i have asked customer to check if the actual password was set during the installation or not.
Resolution
Try with userid/password as admin/admin or admin/passw0rd or admin/password1. In my case admin/admin worked perfectly and the issue was resolved.
There is a IBM Support Technote that clearly gives you a solution on how to retrieve the password.

In my case as I tried with admin/admin the solution worked out, but ideally we need to follow best practices as mentioned in Part 2 of above link.
